Summary |
Dzhamiliya follows her parents' orders and agrees to an arranged marriage. World War II starts and her new husband has to leave to fight. While alone Dzhamiliya meets a soldier Daniyar and falls in love with him. All the village disapproves of the affair, except a boy named Seit. He finds the couple to be an inspiration for his painting. |
