Summary Caption: "In days gone by--Mary Harte, a library page, demonstrates [in a close-up view in front of bookshelves] how a Dutch mistress looked in her housecap in Sheepshead Bay 150 or more years ago. In one hand she holds an old Dutch farm lantern and in the other a candle. On the shelf are a candle mold and brass flatiron. Metal objects are loaned by the Brooklyn Museum for the 'As Time Goes By' exhibit at the Sheepshead Bay Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library [located at 2636 East 14th Street]."
